Biome Bioplast GF106/2

Think biodegradable and compostable film; think Biome Bioplast GF106/2. This easily processed, potato starch based product gives a soft, flexible film that is extremely strong. Furthermore, it is plasticiser and GMO free.

Biome Bioplast GF106/2 is also printable by flexographic or offset printing without any pre-treatment and can be coloured with specially designed masterbatches, with no detriment to the superb properties.

The product is certified EN 13432 and DIN CERTCO biodegradable and compostable - depending on thickness. If you are thinking of food as an end use Bioplast 106 has EU & FDA (USA) Food Contact Approval for all non high-acidic foods.

Applications for flexible film produced from Biome Bioplast GF106/2 include disposable fast food and other packaging. However, the product is incredibly versatile and can be extruded into thin sheet, injection moulded into virtually any shape and is suitable for blending with Biome Bioplast GS2189 in order to create differing properties for specific applications.
